This and El Torito are my favorite mexican joints in Topeka. The chips and salsa you get here with your meal when you dine in are great, as are all the Tacos (lengua being my fav) and they have the best deal for elote en vaso that I've seen in Topeka. ( A LOOORGE CUP FOR AROUND 5 BUCKS) No trash can out front which I thought was odd.. I don't recommend the cheeseburger for the price.. very basic and meat is odd with no bite to it.. its almost soggy

They have great food and great service of workers and restaurant. I like their food because they actually put time and effort i to their food.
Fantastic value for your money. They do not serve alcohol. However, the service is fast and the food is hot. Leaving you plenty of time to drink later. The steak street tacos come with rice, beans and guacamole they are tasty. Also the $7.99 price is hard to beat. Highly recommend!
This little spot right off of 70 (take the California St exit) may not look like much from the outside, but it's a fantastic little spot. Great food and ambiance, and the service is super friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend it, and plan on heading back here soon.
I love their chicken tamales with their green salsa. The chicken burrito's are also on the top of my list. They have a large menu and it's prepared quickly and served hot and fresh.
You know what I love about this place? Breakfast served all day on Sundays. Big, delicious Breakfast Burritos for $3.99! They're delicious, inexpensive, and filling! Hop, skip, and a jump from Lake Shawnee, one of my other favorite places in Topeka!
Being born half Mexican and half German produced a few more issues than I was perhaps created to handle. Growing up I (almost) always went to Mexico for Xmas vacation, whether I wanted to go or not. The benefits were exposure to the culture and the foods. I may look like your everyday above average ruggedly handsome Midwesterner, but I know "real" Mexican food from yards away. With that said this place is the real deal. If I close my eyes I could easily imagine I'm eating lunch in Monterrey, except for the American extras, cheese, chips, wacky Spanish TV and etc. Anyone into Mexican food I would suggest this place first to form a baseline for everything else. Cheap super tasty Mexican food ? What's better than that? Venture out here for lunch once and you'll be hooked.
I'm from Texas and this place defiantly helped cure my Mexican food needs, recommended this place to everyone and will definitely be back.
